TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. PURPOSE
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of translation, certified translation and proofreading services, as well as any other language services offered by Línguavertix.
By requesting a quotation or contracting any of these services, the Client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
2. REQUESTING A QUOTATION
Quotations may be requested using the form available on the website or by email.
Where possible, quotations are based on an analysis of the documentation provided by the Client.
Quotations are provided free of charge and do not oblige the Client to purchase any service.
Each quotation remains valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
After this period, prices may be revised and delivery times will depend on our availability at the time of confirmation.
3. ACCEPTANCE OF THE QUOTATION
The quotation must be accepted in writing by expressly confirming acceptance of the terms and conditions contained in the quotation issued by Línguavertix.
4. SERVICES PROVIDED
Línguavertix provides translation, certified translation, proofreading, interpreting and other language services through qualified translators and professional collaborators.
Línguavertix assumes full responsibility for the management, coordination, quality control and delivery of all contracted services.
5. DELIVERY TIMES
Delivery deadlines are agreed between Línguavertix and the Client before work begins.
Delivery times depend on the nature of the assignment, the volume of documentation and its complexity.
If unforeseen circumstances arise that may affect the agreed deadline, the Client will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
6. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
The Client undertakes to:
- Provide complete and legible documentation.
- Provide all information necessary for the proper execution of the service.
- Check all personal details and information contained in the submitted documents before the translation begins.
- Notify Línguavertix of any corrections or amendments before work commences.
Línguavertix cannot be held responsible for errors contained in documents supplied by the Client.
7. PAYMENT TERMS
Payment terms are specified in the quotation issued to the Client.
An invoice will be issued once full payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality is one of the core principles of Línguavertix.
All documentation and information provided by the Client are treated with the utmost discretion and used exclusively for the purpose of delivering the contracted services.
Where external translators or specialist professionals are engaged, they are also bound by confidentiality obligations and must comply with all applicable data protection legislation.
9. LIABILITY
Línguavertix undertakes to provide its services with the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism and diligence, in accordance with recognised professional translation practices.
The Client should review the completed translation and notify Línguavertix in writing of any error or discrepancy considered attributable to Línguavertix as soon as it is identified.
Where such a claim is verified, Línguavertix will make the necessary corrections free of charge.
Línguavertix accepts no liability for errors, omissions or inaccuracies contained in the original documents supplied by the Client, nor for any modifications made to those documents after the translation has been completed.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Once full payment has been received, the Client is free to use the translated material for its intended purpose.
Línguavertix reserves the right to retain copies of the documentation for the period specified in its Privacy Policy solely for service management and legal compliance purposes.
11. APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
Any dispute shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable legislation, without prejudice to the Client's right to use the competent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities where applicable.
